Vogue Paris June/July 2012

(this dress would be lovely to be turned into a one-piece lolita dress, the lace and sheer is just heavenly)

Russian Vogue December 2010

Title: Дворцовая интрига
Magazine: Vogue Russia December 2010
Model: Ashley Smith
Photographer: Sharif Hamza
Stylist: Simon Robins

An inspiration for dark classic coordinates. I hope one day circular lace chokers would become a staple in lolita fashion... or at least a fad.

Cecil Beaton's Creamy Pink Hues

Vogue Cover April 1936

(Look at that whimsical typography)

I'm quite familiar with Cecil Beaton's work but most of what I know are his body of black and white photography. Though he does work very well with colors most of what I've seen have a bright pastel tone to them, these two photos show of that beautiful creamy pink the photographer has composed.

Grand Duchess Alexandra Pavlovna of Russia

Here are some lovely regal portraits of Grand Duchess Alexandra Pavlovna of Russia, Archduchess of Austria.  I especially loved her rose hair accessory.

Rococo flair in traditional Kimono

I have absolutely adored the trend of Rococo/Baroque paintings used as sweeping prints in lolita skirts and JSKs. Each one that consists them is an automatic dream clothing piece for me.

They have also reached the traditional Kimono attires beautifully mixing the grandiose atmosphere of the 19th century European culture with the famed traditional yet refined Japanese clothing.

These are a Juliette et Justine and GLB collaboration work. They are available at the KERAshop.

Introduction

I may want to exaggerate the fact that  I am simply not a lolita (yet). I don't wear lolita clothes, I absolutely have none, no brands, no petticoat, nada.  I am nothing more than an enthusiast who admires it from far away, lurking the EGL community, swooning over the elegant details of a beautiful expensive JSK and so on and so forth. I made this blog out of wanting to make something of my daily lolita 'window shopping' in various site brands.

I have a wide interests in the art arena like graphic design and fine art so you may see some posts revolving around delicate art pieces as well as the usual fashion posts concerning lolita.

Happy Reading!
