La Vie Parisienne

I just discovered this lovely vintage magazine. I have seen passing images of some covers on my tumblr dashboard for a long time now but never did it occur to me to further dig up some more info on La Vie Parisienne. This led to my Google Image search hunt and all of a sudden I just keep swooning at the tremendously pretty artworks that accompany the print. I'm currently researching on the particular artists that contribute to the overall prettiness of this very chic printed guide.

For now you can join me on viewing some more vintage sweet eyecandy as I pluck out some of my favorite from Google Image...

I have found a really nifty printing website which has a great deal of La Vie Parisienne artwork for sale as prints.

ShojoMonsta Wigs

(Haven't been blogging on here since I was stuck with Safari and  Blogger just doesn't work on it.)

ShojoMonsta is an indie brand that creates dreamy pastel wigs. Their creations look gorgeously sweet looking. In the photos, I pretty much love how vibrant the colors are and how it has a sheen that is incomparable to the shine of cheap party wigs...

I hope they continue producing other lovely mellow colors and different pretty hairstyles because I'll definitely keep a look out of a shorter version of theLight  Blue & Pink blended Wig.

Vogue Paris June/July 2012

(this dress would be lovely to be turned into a one-piece lolita dress, the lace and sheer is just heavenly)

Russian Vogue December 2010

Title: Дворцовая интрига
Magazine: Vogue Russia December 2010
Model: Ashley Smith
Photographer: Sharif Hamza
Stylist: Simon Robins

An inspiration for dark classic coordinates. I hope one day circular lace chokers would become a staple in lolita fashion... or at least a fad.

Cecil Beaton's Creamy Pink Hues

Vogue Cover April 1936

(Look at that whimsical typography)

I'm quite familiar with Cecil Beaton's work but most of what I know are his body of black and white photography. Though he does work very well with colors most of what I've seen have a bright pastel tone to them, these two photos show of that beautiful creamy pink the photographer has composed.
